How does Facilities and Operations contribute to the University of Alberta?
Facilities and Operations’ (F&O) goal is to create buildings, spaces and services to support the mission of the university. Our team engages in projects to meet the University’s current and future infrastructure demands and ensure the physical space meets the need of a rapidly growing university.
In addition, the Vice-President of Facilities and Operations provides a link between the administration and the Board of Governors on all matters concerning university infrastructure and related services.

Facilities and Operations is responsible for non-academic services such as parking services, student housing, conference services, cleaning and maintenance, utilities, energy management, environmental control systems, long-range planning, real estate, construction project management and renovations, and the University's vehicle pool.

Where is Facilities and Operations located?
The administration office is located on the 4th floor of the General Services Building (GSB) on North Campus. Our trades shops and other offices are located in various buildings around the campus: University Hall, RE Phillips Bldg., Lister Centre, and the Heating Plant. Map
What are your office hours?
The administrative office is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m to 4:00 p.m.
