Energy Management and Sustainable Operations
Energy Management and Sustainable Operations (EMSO) plays a leading role in the advancement of sustainability within the portfolio of Facilities and Operations and throughout the university as a whole. EMSO works to minimize the University of Alberta’s impact on the environment on behalf of all members of the university community.
EMSO is responsible for overseeing the university’s multi-million dollar Energy Management Program, which implements energy efficiency and conservation measures across campus. For more information about the following projects, please explore the EMSO projects page
